May 2069 ... Blood coated bodies littered the ground as the mushroom cloud dissipated in the distance. Horror struck faces stared up at me, frozen forever with tears streaking down soot-covered cheeks. I swallowed hard as I stared into their dead eyes.
âColizan, would you care to join us for a walk?â Father asked, pulling me from the image in my history book.
I slammed the cover shut and smiled. âOf course, it would be my pleasure.â
The warm sun glinted off the quartz sidewalk as my father, mother, and I strolled from our assigned dwinn in the Northern territory of Atal. Winding our way through the gardens which led to Common Park had always been their preferred route. Picture perfect displays of green grass, sparkling quartz, lush flowers, and elaborate water features dotted the landscape. Mother and Father chatted enthusiastically just ahead of me while I took in the sceneryââthe same scenery Iâd enjoyed every day for eighteen years. I tilted my head back and appreciated the glass and quartz buildings that lined the sky. Some were tall and towering, others round and inviting; I loved them all. I sighed and quickened my pace as we approached my favorite part of the cityââthe museum. It reminded me of a picture Iâd once seen of the Sydney Opera House in Australia, but instead of white and cream concrete, it was all glass. Ever since I was young, I always made it a point to stop and read the plaque outside, and today was no exception.
âATAL. Est. 2027. Redesigned from the ashes of Atlanta.â
An image of a Genesis machine hovered over the war-struck city in the foreground, and in the background stood the utopian paradise left in its wake. The large spaceship-like device, with its metallic domed body and long tendrils of machinery hanging down, had always fascinated me.

This is the Novella that come after the prequel with the story of Mike and Summer. IN this book it has been almost a year and a half since their hot weekend and Summer calls Mike because she has a stalker now that she is a movie star and needs Mikes help. As usual he drops everything and runs to her rescue. I thought this book was great because it kept with the same story line that started in the Prequel. I am not going to give any spoilers because really who likes that. I think this book is a 5-star because of the way it is laid out. The only problem with this book is it is too short for my taste but I loved it anyway This is the 12th book I have read in this Havenwood Falls/Havenwood Falls High series. All of these books are great but for some reason this book connected with me in a way that no book has done until now. I am not going to put no spoilers in here because hey that is just not right, you need to read it to find out for yourself. But for me this book is great, and I think there needs to be a second book to this one. I did love one quote in here and that quote is “Now let me show you what heaven feels like” I love that quote. I am not going to say what chapter it is in or who said it but that quote is something every girl wants said to them (come on you know you do). I give this Book a Five-star review because it is that awesome. This Book is a MUST READ and read it as soon as you cam. I promise you won’t regret it. R.K. Ryals you are the bomb. ❦❦❦NEW RELEASE❦❦❦ INK & FIRE by R.K. A place where everyone has a story. This is only but one… It takes the fallen to save the damned. Harper Sinclair doesn't own any books. If she can avoid it, she doesn't read or write at all. Words are dangerous. Beyond the cover of a book, words rearrange themselves for Harper, becoming messages from beyond. Brutal messages. Terrible messages. When she writes, awful things flow from her fingers. She's a spiritual writer haunted by demons. Lucas Fox is one of the fallen, an angel whose murderous past keeps him from Heaven. Whose protective, chivalric nature keeps him from Hell. He lives between worlds, content to enjoy his vices while doing just enough to keep him out of the underworld. But when Harper is forced to sign a contract for a house she buys in Havenwood Falls, the words that appear aren't her name. Instead, she pens a dire message threatening a fallen angel whose old alliance with a ruler of Hell has made him a target of a powerful demon lord. I love it when book do that. This prequel is about Mike and Summer who has been friends for 34 years since they were kids. They were on their way back for a visit with Mike's sister Valarie when they started feeling things that they obviously ignored until now. They had a weekend together after they got back home and found that they actually loved each other. By the end though Summer got a role in a movie and she left Mikes place and found that her heart was breaking. I liked this book but like most prequels they are too short. Can't wait to start reading Saving Summer to find out what happens with these two. COVER REVEALInamorataBy Randi Cooley Wilson
